McLaren is the next big running team to join Extreme E

Too much E adds another a great running team to its electrical connection along the way. McLaren rallied revealed will participate in the second season of Extreme E in 2022. Although McLaren has not yet selected drivers, it said it will use people who were not in its Formula 1 program.

McLaren is not ashamed of his intentions. It sees Extreme E as a way to promote “progressive approaches”, not to mention equality (each group has one male and one female driver). It also sees this as an opportunity to “reach new audiences” with the exotic forms of Extreme E.

The supercar manufacturer is not a fast-moving electrician as he supports Formula E on very early, plus the battery power of the first two seasons. It is another matter to stop the EV competition under the company’s name, however – which shows a great deal of commitment to all electric motorsport, even if it is well known.

For Extreme E, so far, this is a huge success. Although it already has several popular teams, including Lewis Hamilton’s X44, not many carmakers have thrown their power behind the league – Cupra (VW seat) is about to become as big as it is. McLaren won’t make it to more cars, but it does give Extreme E more hope during a difficult time.
