LAPD fired two police officers who ignored the robbers to play ‘Pokémon Go’

The early Pokémon Pitani crazy apparently it resulted in two police officers not making the right choice. Monga Axios‘ Stephen Totilo and BBC News report, LAPD and now known to chase away Louis Lozano and Eric Mitchell police officers for negligent theft on April 15, 2017 in order to play the increasingly Niantic blockbuster. Instead of responding to a call from Macy’s for money laundering at Crenshaw Mall, police reportedly spent 20 minutes driving to catch Snorlax (a rare find in the game) and Togetic.
Lozano and Mitchell refused to play Pokémon Pitani and insisted he was “just talking” about the game, but the car camera revealed that he had been talking about a stolen phone and decided to ignore it. Another officer also saw the pilot leave the scene after the call. Much of this became known when former police officers lost an appeal which would have tarnished their image in violation of the right to freedom of expression.
This happened a few months after Niantic began weakening the drivers in play, and it is safe to say that times like this are shorter Pokémon Pitani demands are low. However, this illustrates the danger of both AR metaverses and drug abuse – it can be very tempting to avoid real jobs when the world comes.
