The opportunity for honest dialogue between Israel and Palestine led by Benjamin Netanyahu as Israeli Prime Minister had already been disrupted. However the rise of Naphtali Bennett, his one-time defense, has left Palestinian students with many reasons for concern.

While many expect him to be as evil as Netanyahu, some say he will do his bidding to expand the illegal living area very strongly.

Some hope he can be coerced if he is pressured by Biden’s management and be brave.

A major supporter of Jewish territories and the occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, Bennett also opposed the two countries’ response to the conflict.

At first, there seems to be a slight difference between him and his subordinates. All of them are opposed to the resumption of any kind of peace that would force them to give up Palestinian aspirations.

Netanyahu, popularly known as “Bibi”, conspired with Trump officials to assassinate East Jerusalem as the country’s future capital of Palestine when The United States relocated its ambassador from Tel Aviv in a city with Islamic, Jewish and Christian sanctuaries.

But Bennett’s rise to prominence as a Prime Minister could be catastrophic, said Mkhaimar Abusada, an associate professor and chair of the political science department at Al-Azhar University in the Gaza Strip.

“Netanyahu expanded the villages but dried them back in 2009 and 2010 under pressure [former US President Barack] Obama, ”Abusada said.

“The difference between Netanyahu and Bennett is that Netanyahu, as we have seen, is able to deal with global problems. Also, he seems to be flexible in two kinds of responses.

‘Evil Than Netanyahu’

Bennett found himself in trouble as a politician for supporting him strongly the official cities of Israel. A sudden descent from where he stood to anger his country’s right-wing fighters, some of whom have already described him as an “insurgent” who joined the alliance with centrists, leftists and Arabs.

Mustafa Barghouti, President of the Palestinian National Initiative, said he expected Bennett to be worse off than Netanyahu in the Palestinian view.

“Bennett called for the inclusion of Palestinians in Areas A and B, which is only 38% in the West Bank, and connecting the remaining 62% which is Area C,” Barghouti said, referring to the three parts of the West Bank and East Jerusalem. in the Oslo treaty signed in 1995.

“Continuing stability in Area C means killing the potential for a two-state solution. He is even worse than Netanyahu. ”

Some, however, hope to believe that Bennett’s multi-party agreement will now establish checks and its terms.

Last week, Netanyahu was defeated by a narrow maritime vote in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. But the alliance that has terminated him seems to be too fragile.

They live with former Bennett members in the Likud group – Avigdor Lieberman and Gideon Saar – all who are expected to agree with the anti-Palestinian policy.

But the Yesh Atid centrist party, the Meretz left-wing party, and the first Palestinian United Arab List (Ra’am) are also in the coalition.

‘A Wonderful Government’

Yoel Guzansky is a senior researcher at the Institute for National Security Study (INSS) who specializes in politics and security in the Gulf. He said there was a big question of how long the alliance would last, as well as the political will it wanted.

“What kind of deal can this amazing government agree to, is the big question,” Guzansky said. “Often, when there are different political parties in the country, there are very few religions that unite them. In this case, it was an agreement to get rid of Bibi. But Bennett faces a number of challenges. ”

Guzansky says the next challenge for the new Prime Minister is to do so demolish the Evyatar residence army, south of Nablus in the West Bank.

“This house was built in violation of Israeli law and should be demolished. We need to see what Bennett can do in this regard,” he said. “There is also a Bedouin settlement in the Negev desert.

Guzansky said he believed Bennett could be a militant against the Palestinians.

Bennett, not cold, was allowed visiting the flag and lovers of the Jewish state through Jerusalem. It seemed like a huge disappointment with the Palestinians especially since the conflict between Israel and Hamas last month was not over.

There are significant differences between the various members of the alliance. But Arab members would have little influence on Israeli ideology and no one in the alliance is expected to come out with pets on behalf of Palestinians living in their own settlements.

Barghouti described any expectations of a century-old or a survivor representing the Palestinian people as being unreasonable. He also spoke about the time last week when Bennett reiterated his vision of continuing to settle in Area C.

“We have not heard anyone from Meretz or the centrists say they do not agree. They were in the Knesset. That could mean one thing – this government will continue to establish illegal settlements, perhaps even more strongly.”

Bennett’s worst enemy could be Biden’s bodyguards, who have already called for an end to the illegal activities. It begins the opening of an embassy for Palestinians living in East Jerusalem and is expected to force Israel to return to the table for peace talks.

While some Palestinian thinkers are not ready to leave Biden, others, such as Barghouti, fear that Bennett may block US intervention in Palestine by volunteering to renew the Iran-US nuclear deal.

“Iran’s unity is due to the Palestinian crisis,” Barghouti said. “But we are not silent.”

Since the conflict last month, the Palestinian resistance has helped and a new generation of freedom fighters they seem determined to save their homes and the land of their ancestors, too.

Bibi or Bennett, the Palestinian people, say their rejection will continue.
