Steve Dent is a licensed pilot who traveled to rural France with the help of a DJI Mavic 3 drone, while Terrence O’Brien played with the Animoog Z program, following a decade of production. Also, Cherlynn Low played with Android 12 to see its Material You design.

Steve Dent stayed for a while with DJI Mavic 3 and a drone pilot with a license in rural France to see what the new device could do. He claims that not only is the Mavic 3 an easy-to-fly DJI drone, but the larger 4/3 and dual camera systems produce stunning images – and 46 minutes of this type are twice as long as the previous model could be shot. He tested the standard model in $ 3,000 Fly More combo package, with three batteries, a storage area, one set of ND filters and a backpack. Mavic 3 is also available in a Cine mode with 1TB SSD and Apple ProRes 422 HQ video support.

While the Mavic 3 was easy to navigate due to the ease of avoidance, it was also easy to polish an 899-gram drone in the combined size of storage and mobility. Steve says the camera and video specifications are impressive: the first camera was designed in conjunction with Hasselblad and features a 24mm f / 2.8-f / 11 lens with accurate color accuracy. The video camera can shoot 5.1K at 50fps or 4K at 60fps; Steve says the larger sensor provides less light, more detail and greater variability. However, there are some drawbacks – which are pricey, and that DJI’s promised add-ons (such as ActiveTrack5 and QuickShots) are not available here but will be released in January. All in all, Steve says the Mavic 3 offers, but it is very good for professionals and professionals.

Cherlynn Low is aware that many versions of Android make revision of the high-risk content difficult, but the most recent upgrade of the operating system makes it refreshing and offers data visibility and confidentiality. Thank you so much for the new Material You design that has streamlined the UI and enhanced buttons and slides, among others. Cherlynn was particularly fond of the Secret Dashboard which notifies users of their cameras and microphones when they are unlocked, along with the programs they need. Android 12 also has new features for when the camera or mic is in use.

Cherlynn saw some things that upset her, such as the inconvenient way to call Google Assistant, as well as confusing charts and graphs in batteries and secrets. He was also happy to experiment with audio-coupled haptic solutions, but did not find any programs that helped. All in all, he said that the visual changes in Material You and the additional privacy tools made the system very different – in a good way.

Terrence O’Brien was looking forward to the test Animoog Z, following the original Moog tool that uses wavetable synthesis. The next version of the program features a compatible Anisotropic Synth Engine, which has several waveforms to choose from, from analog wave models to digital waves. However, this new release adds a third dimension to the original X / Y axis – the axis Z in which the notes can move.

Terrence says this gives the new program a lot of depth and opportunity to change. They found that some changes took more and more flexibility to create complex and unique terms. There is also a new output component with looper, delay, filter and arpeggiator, plus MPE support. In addition, Terrence says the redesigned design features of the new app make it more modern and easy to navigate. After testing, he announced that Animoog Z was the right replacement for the start.
