How the existence became more of the same thing

We were on vacation for a few days before I put my finger on the problem. We had our last minute rest in a beautiful cottage on the west coast of Wales. The week was relaxing, hiking in the mountains and beaches was dangerous and although the weather was favorable for November. Then, all of a sudden, I realized what was wrong: I ran away from everything but myself.
To be honest, it must have been a hectic time for my wife, who never left me. (Yes, yes, I know I put myself in a few lines following this.) But, since I don’t like self-deprecation for long, it was amazing to see my sudden presence. great evil.
Other than that, I have been on vacation many times and have often been accompanying myself on the trip, especially to my satisfaction. There have been many times when I see my company as a unique opportunity. So how was it different this time?
Lastly, this was our fourth consecutive vacation in the UK. I usually like to stay but this is because before the epidemic we were able to travel to another country with enough money. The UK break thus accomplished a different job, being a short vacation, a week of fun that required a little more than just a car ride and drive.
But 18 months of living has provided new ideas. Apart from all the obvious benefits of travel – the sun, the scenery, the new culture and so on – being outside forces you to change your habits in a way that staying home does not.
You ‘re not being a stranger – it’ s not like I had the chance to be Chris Hemsworth for two weeks every summer – but you get removed from your routine and given a different time than you do. . Even if your leisure time is short-lived, it is often necessary to take action, which is why some ideas are not really important to you.
This does not mean being inconsiderate or trying to be ambitious. Those who hate dangerous sports, for example, should not jump off a cliff. Instead, there is no guarantee that it will regain meaning other than the continuity of the process.
At one point, against nature, I tried to dive into the water as part of the mindset to get into the spirit of the holidays and I also realized how I lived all the time. I realize that skiing should not be an extreme sport but when you swallow a lot of water in the Indian Ocean, it becomes very bloody. So there is no need to go further. What is needed is the support of people who do not know them well. While there is a lot of interest in the UK, there are a few different places big enough to respond.
This means that my experience in Wales was well-known. It was the weekend for me, but he stretched it all week. I was calm and relaxed (at least in my travel history). Nor can I criticize my wife, who always tries to get me to a new and exciting place (especially those with commercial markets).
Maybe I didn’t work, but I still do the things I do every day in the same order. I do not want to exaggerate my suffering. I ate good food, read interesting books, went for a walk, saw some beautiful places and so on. It was all very fun but it all happened naturally. There was little that could lead to new enthusiasm, triggering various discussions or unexpected ideas. No food sent me back to the same bar the next day to remember this new flavor, unless you read the tapas at Aberystwyth.
I am personally responsible for this. Many others were able to escape in 2021 but we did not want to play in the summer when the landscape changed from green to red without regular predictions of traffic lights. We may have had a quick break in September, but a normal life ensued. Above all, it seemed a trivial matter. Over the years it has become easier to recall simple pleasures such as eating, meeting friends, or going to the movies.
The bottom line is that living abroad offers even more benefits than I did in the past: the emotional refreshment that comes with going out a different kind of self.
It is a saying that walking develops emotions. But it does the same. Sticking to your favorite places should not be underestimated. But you pay a price for not having to force yourself to go the other way, for a few weeks a year. And if the only thing you have to do is get rid of hell in Britain once or twice a year, then it is a fitness program that we can all sign up for.
We have been to some of the most beautiful places in the UK. I do it all and I will be back soon. I can just try not to go with me.
