Kellogg Co said Tuesday that many factory workers in the United States voted against the new five-year contract, forcing it to recruit more permanent workers as workers extend the strike that began two months ago.

Temporary reformers have been operating in the company’s factories in Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Tennessee where 1,400 union members went on strike on October 5 when their contracts expired and negotiations for pay and benefits ceased.
