The nuclear weapons talks between the US and Iran, economic ties with the Arab world and Bennett’s White House visit will be highlighted, experts say.

A new Israeli government led by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will provide an opportunity to reduce political tensions between Israel and the United States as President Joe Biden seeks to return to Iran’s nuclear deal, analysts said.

“Biden is relieved,” said Aaron David Miller, chief of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC.

“Biden bought themselves a place and time. Bennett doesn’t want a fight,” Miller told Al Jazeera.

Although Israel’s views are new and Netanyahu has vowed to change them, the changes are welcome in Washington and, if they continue, White House staff will look forward to Bennett’s visit to Biden.

“Biden is looking forward to a re-establishment,” said Hassan El-Tayyab, a Middle East activist for the Quaker Friends Committee on National Law.

“There was a strained relationship between the Obama administration, and the Biden-Harris administration and Mrs. Netanyahu,” El-Tayyab said.

Biden called on Israel’s new Prime Minister to “wish all the best”, the White House said in a statement read out on June 13.

“The leaders have acknowledged that they and their groups have carefully consulted on all aspects of regional security, including Iran,” the White House said.

“The president also said that his supervisors want to work with the Israeli government in promoting peace, security and development for Israel and Palestine.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he had spoken to Yair Lapid, to become the next Prime Minister in the Bennett agreement and to be the next Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel.

Netanyahu has publicly condemned former President Barack Obama’s visit to Iran and strongly condemned the US-led international agreement with Iran in 2015.

Called by U.S. Republicans, Netanyahu addressed Congress to oppose the deal and called on US lawmakers to reject any agreement, which many Democrats at the time were Netanyahu’s attempt to weaken President Obama’s administration in foreign affairs.

Recently, Netanyahu made strong connections with former President Donald Trump, who ousted the United States unconsciously from the nuclear deal that Biden wants to resume.

The sixth round of international negotiations between Iran and international powers was due to start over the weekend, just days before the Iranian presidential election to benefit leaders in Tehran.
