Admittedly, I was not impressed with Amazon added a round foundation new Show 10. Obviously, this visual format is useful for tracking you in the room during video sessions, but they feel useless and unnecessary. Plus, you need more space to move so you lose a lot of reading space. This is why I am so happy that Echo Show 8 and 5 did not repeat the design. Instead, Amazon has changed a bit between this brand and finalists, but trust me when I say it’s okay.

It’s the Echo Show 8 that has changed a lot, but most of them are under the hood: It now has an octa-core processor plus a very wide 13-megapixel camera (the old model only had 1-pixel pixels). Plus, Echo Show 8 can follow you when you make a phone call without the need to watch. Instead, it uses digital format and optimization, the same technology you can get Facebook’s Portal tools (including Show 10, when not moving around).

Goodness

  • Small design
  • A beautiful show
  • Stellar genre
  • Good for video playback

Bad

  • The language is not as good as Google
  • It doesn’t have many ways to edit videos

The digital graphics and sculptures work well enough to make me feel like there’s a cameraperson keeping my face on motion pictures, and following me across my living room. The interface works on any video platform that Echo Show 8 supports, including Skype and Zoom, in addition to Amazon functions. (You can create video clips via the Alexa app or from the Echo Show tools.) I’ve found that the videos and videos are excellent. That being said, self-employment can be relatively easy; sometimes it only takes a few seconds to start. Facebook page it does a better job on the next type, not the rest.

Exhibit 5, however, only brings about a slight change. It now has a 2-megapixel camera, out of a single megapixel, which is still smaller. And it comes in an extra blue color plus black or plain white. His camera doesn’t have the Echo Show 8’s off-screen capabilities, probably due to its very low resolution. In particular, Show 5 currently does not support Zoom. (Amazon has said it is working with Zoom to help with other devices, as this could change.)

All of this can seem like a daja vu, because everything else here is very similar to previous generations. Both of these tools have the same basic design design. The Echo Show 8 has 1,280 x 800 resolution while Show 5 is set at 960 x 480. The photos and videos look great to everyone, though I love watching videos on Show 8 but the screen is bigger. Both the Echo Show 8 and 5 also have a circular motion, which changes the brightness and temperature of the paint depending on their location.

On top of the Echo Show 8 and 5 there are volume controls, a microphone stop button, plus a secret camera shutter. Show 8 has a better program than its smaller sibling, with two speakers instead of one. It delivers incredibly strong bass and impressive volume, and easily fills my small office. The music from Show 5 isn’t too bad in size, but it doesn’t sound right. I should note that the new Echo Show 8 and the new Echo Show 5 do not have a 3.5mm headband which is offered to the existing ones, which means you can’t combine it with older speakers.

Both Echo Show 8 and 5 have solar alarms, which illuminate slowly to indicate daytime decline. However, Show 5 is the only one that allows you to grab the top to miss. This is because Amazon is selling Show 5 as a timepiece for the night, while Show 8 is best made in the living room or kitchen.

Like the new Echo Show 10, this smart display features home viewers on Amazon, featuring several cards that allow you to view multiple themes at once, such as the season and games nearby. It is a condition of the time of day; I saw the most recent topics during the day, for example, while at night I realized the concept of playlists. I love this artistic mix so much; That is one reason why a wise demonstration is more effective than, say, a wise speaker. You can see a bit of information without asking.

Using Show 8 on my computer desk is also helpful; It is great as a digital image and also shows the time and the weather. I also found it useful in the kitchen, as it can have a huge library of recipes from sources like Food Network and All recipes; I might say “Alexa, how do I make chicken broth?” to bring up a list of relevant results. All recipes have slow cooker recipes; others have pictures and videos following some instructions.

Show 5 fits well on my table. Obviously, it also works well in some home environments, but its small size makes it ideal for an alarm clock. That said, I am not comfortable with equipment equipped with cameras in the bedroom (although there is a secret curtain). One of the reasons I think Google’s Nest Hub and Lenovo Smart Clock Installation Making the right watch is that it has no cameras at all, which helps to reduce some of the privacy issues.

Like Amazon’s smart display, the latest Echo Shows supports streaming videos from Amazon Prime, Netflix and Hulu. YouTube is not supported natively, although you can access it via the built-in Silk browser. This is not the case with the Google experience. In addition, there is no support for Disney +, Paramount + or HBO Max, all of which are available on Google’s smart displays.

The Echo Show 8 and 5 offers an easy home control option, which you can use to adjust the temperature of your ideal thermostat, Philips Hue power controller and much more. As you might expect, the Echo Show shows are especially useful if you like to buy Amazon. Adding things to your car is as easy as telling Alexa to do it. Plus, it shows a reminder when the Subscribe & Save order is about to ship, which helps avoid these amazing packages.

I haven’t had a chance to try it out, but I should also know that Echo Show 5 is available in Children’s Printing, which comes with a year-old subscription to Amazon’s Kids Plus. It has a home screen with children and a two-year warranty on it. Important: Allows parents to modify the content and activities of their children.

The closest competitor to all Amazon shows is Google’s second generation Nest Phukusi, which has a 7-inch display. It sells for $ 100 – a little cheaper than the Echo Show 8 ($ 130) and a little cheaper than the Echo Show 5 ($ 85), but it also offers a slightly different look. Nest Hub is better for those who prefer Google Assistant than Alexa, and it also offers some video options. I also like Google’s smart display app, because it looks better and looks better than Amazon’s. It doesn’t have a camera so you need video clips and the speaker is not good.

Most importantly, however, it is not the hardware that can dictate to you which smart features you want to have. If you have Nest’s home appliances and want to integrate them into YouTube, you’re in for a treat with Nest Hub. But if you are already an Alexa user, Echo Show might be a better option.

When it comes to the Echo Show you have to choose from, the Echo Show 8 offers the most value. Compared to the Echo Show 5, it has a larger display and higher volume, which is more than $ 45 extra. And it has the same camera as the cheapest Echo Show 10 (even if it has a round screen). If, however, you don’t care about the video footage, and you love the one that doubles as a watch, the small Echo Show 5 Alarm might be a better option.
