The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has introduced new regulations that would require car companies to report on the effects of heavy traffic on the same day after learning about accidents. Mu system seen by Washington newspaper, NHTSA instructs machine manufacturers to complete an electronic form and submit it to the agency when one of their systems operates either on an emergency or at the same time. He or she must report an accident each time he or she dies, an injury that requires medical attention, a vehicle being transported, sent to an air bag or if a pedestrian or cyclist is affected. The law describes the interactive mechanisms for driving 2 to 5 autonomous vehicles, meaning that they include all of Tesla’s Autopilot vehicles going to Waymo taxi.
“This will enable the NHTSA to gather the necessary information for the agency to work with the United States on the road, although the technology used on national roads continues to evolve,” he said. NHTSA also required machine manufacturers to submit monthly reports detailing all incidents and injuries or damage to property related to their operating machinery. Companies that fail to comply will have to pay a fine of up to $ 22,992 a day, depending on Page.
NHTSA order comes two months after the 2019 Tesla Model S got involved high damage while investigators initially said no one was driving the car. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) later said it had analyzed home security surveys that show the owner sat in the driver’s seat before the accident. A few weeks earlier, Robert Sumwalt, chairman of the NTSB, had sent a letter to the NHTSA urging the agency to adopt stricter traffic laws. The NHTSA “must act” to “establish strong security,” he said, citing Tesla frequently in his letter.
