DJI’s Mavic 3 features dual Four Third cameras and telephoto cameras

[ad_1]

is best known for its drones, but it is probably the most widely discovered camera company right now. After opening the full form Roni 4K camera / gimbal last month, it said introduced $ 2,200 Mavic 3 drone not just one, but two advanced cameras.

As rumor, there are two variants of the Mavic 3 family, the Standard and Cine variants, as well as the “Fly More” combo that combines additional features. The main difference is that the Mavic 3 Cine has a built-in 1TB SSD and supports video recording of the Apple ProRes 422 HQ – essential for professional film production. The latter is very expensive, as I will discuss later.

The 24-inch Mavic 3 camera (35mm-parallel) f / 2.8 – f / 11 Hasselblad has a Four Third sensor that is much larger than the 1-inch sensor on the current Air 2S model. And yet, the camera section does not look very large and the Mavic 3 weighs slightly more than the Mavic 2 (895g compared to 907g).

The Four Third is similar to the Micro Four Thirds sensor on the Panasonic box camera of BGH1, for example, which is why it should allow more videos and video footage. The flexible aperture, along with the ND filters of your choice, makes it easy to shoot in a variety of lighting conditions. It also comes with a new autofocus system called Vision Detection that claims to help speed up the process.

With a larger camera, it now shoots 5.1K video at 50fps, or 4K at 120 fps – from 5.4K 30fps and 4K / 60p video at Air 2S. DJI mentions 12.8 format variables, thanks to the 10-bit D-Log format. In terms of fixed images, it is capable of shooting 20-megapixel images in 12-bit RAW.

If you want to get closer, get closer, DJI has squeezed into the second camera on top of the main camera. This has a 12-megapixel half-sensor and 162mm (35mm equivalent) phone, which is close to the 4X magnification, or 28X hybrid zoom. The ball is based on f / 4.4, and provides automatic, not manual adjustment. It can record 4K video at up to 30fps.

DJI has confirmed that the Mavic 3 will have 46 minutes of autonomy in a good location (40 minutes of hover), as the loss predicted. This is a huge upgrade from the Mavic 2 Pro or Air 2S, both of which offer 31 minutes of flight. It can also fly very fast, at 47 MPH compared to 45 MPH. This capability was aided by a powerful battery, extra power motor motors / propellers as well as manual controls, body and gimbals for the Mavic 3.

Mavic 3 also offers additional protection thanks to its updated APAS 5.0 machine that uses inputs from the 6 fish eye sensor and two remote sensors to detect and avoid obstacles. Currently, the ActiveTrack 5.0 system has new themed tracks regardless of the path they are on, and can continue to follow the theme if it leaves the frame and retrieves it when it appears again. All of this allows for “more and more fluid flow of the camera,” DJI said.

It also comes with the advanced RTH (Return Home) machines that work by self-calculating the short, safe and energy-efficient way to return home. It can take into account wind speeds and power calculations, giving users more flying time before taking action on RTH. Another modified feature of O3 + is to prevent the loss of the signature which allows for more than 15 km correction. The Mavic 3 is also the first DJI drone with a speed of 1080p 60fps on live feeds, meaning that “the camera’s appearance is displayed close to what the camera records,” says DJI.

Along with the drone, DJI introduced a number of new tools, including a smart DJI RC Pro, a 65W Portable Charger that integrates text and mobile phones and allows for fast charging (approximately 96 minutes), two-dimensional lenses and two. a set of ND filters (ND4 / 8/16/32 and ND64 / 128/256/512) that allow shooting in bright sunlight. It also introduced a carry-on bag that turns into a bag that can fit drones, laptops and more.

Engadget received a drone yesterday, so we didn’t have a chance to fly yet – be careful to review it. However, I have been impressed so far with its design and small features as a cover screen that protects the camera, gimbals and propeller (below). It is clear that DJI has put a lot of thought into the new chargers and batteries that are supposed to make the project more efficient. Although the bag / carry case is well made, with pockets and hands and batteries, ND filters and much more.

As you can see, the return of the Mavic 3 is very expensive. Instead of $ 1,600 as rumors have suggested, the Mavic 3 starts at $ 2,200 for the Standard model, which includes a Mavic 3 drone, storage cover, one battery and charger, RC-N1 remote control “and other essentials.” The $ 3,000 Mavic 3 Fly More Combo adds two extra batteries (all three), three battery storage, ND4 / 8/16/32 filter set and top / back case.

Finally, the $ 5,000 Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo offers you all that includes the aforementioned 1TB SSD mentioned above and Apple ProRes 422 HQ recording (coming in January 2022). It adds additional features to Fly More Combo as well, including RC Pro remote, ND64 / 128/256/512 filters and DJI 10Gbps data cable. The five big ones obviously cost a lot of money, but the Cine brand is more focused on filmmakers. All three drones are now available to order from , Amazon and other legitimate friends.
