Biden has signed a major plan that seeks to curb the power of large corporations

Joe Biden is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding banning the search for rent and promoting global financial competition in the US, including forcing regulators to ban non-competitive decisions by workers.

The White House on Friday unveiled 72 strategies enshrined in Biden’s law, to run industries from technology and transportation to hospitals and banks, designed to reduce the power of companies to expand their market power by harassing minor competitors.

The U.S. president also called for the establishment of an existing antitrust law in the United States, which could monitor consolidation and procurement.

“Economists have found that as competition lowers, productivity declines, business and innovation declines, and money, wealth, and racial inequality intensify,” the White House said in a statement.

“When the old leaders faced the same threats to corporate growth, they acted boldly,” it said, based on the efforts of Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the early 20th century.

Biden’s pressure on competition officials includes an opportunity to “encourage” the Federal Trade Commission, the chief competition officer under the auspices of Big Tech rival Lina Khan, to “ban or reduce” non-competitive components to make it “easier to change jobs and help raise wages”.

Some of the features include a system that reduces the ability of manufacturers to prevent customers from looking for their own products, and to prevent overcharging the Internet.

Hearing aids are allowed to be sold over-the-counter for medical purposes, where airline customers have easy access restored, and bank customers are able to transfer their information to their providers with less difficulty than at present.

Biden’s law also directs the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to work with countries and nations ordering Medicines from Canada, a recent way to reduce the cost of medicines.

The move comes amid Biden’s management claims by Republicans that their $ 1.9tn promotion has led to a rise in prices and a rising cost of living for US consumers.

It is also in line with the US President’s efforts to shift economic power to the US leaving corporations and big business to small businesses and small and medium-sized families.

It is unclear, however, how much of Biden’s ideas could be fulfilled as expected by the White House. Many of these are encouraged but not regulated, and are far more powerful if they are to be established as law.
