AT&T and Verizon could delay 5G development due to FAA concerns

For the past month, AT&T and Verizon have been shutting down releases in haste C-band 5G function, due to security concerns from the Federal Aviation Administration. In the letter, sent by Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and FAA Director Steve Dickson to CEOs of AT&T and Verizon, the two requested a delay “within two weeks.” The two made the request as part of a “concept as a solution that is about to improve the availability of 5G deployment in C-Band and secure aviation,” according to Reuters.
