Small businesses will soon be able to accept payment using their iPhones without the need for additional tools. According to Bloomberg, Apple could begin rolling out the interface through a software update in the next few months, probably with the latest version of iOS 15.4 coming out this year. Apple has been active since 2020, when it did to buy Canadian developers called Mobeewave are known for developing technology that converts the phone into a paid site.
Mobeewave technology only requires software and NFC for the phone to work, unlike services like Square that require the use of external tools. The user simply writes down the amount he or she wants to charge, and the customer simply needs to press the credit card on the back of the device. In addition, Bloomberg and sources did not say whether the section will be released as part of Apple Pay.
