Amazon is bringing its Just Walk Out technology to a whole new store for the first time

On June 17th, Amazon will open its first full-size New a grocery store using its Just Walk Out technology in the US. The e-commerce giant introduced free technology as part of it Amazon Go stores a few years ago. True to its name, it enables customers to walk inside the shop, fill their carts and items and get out without going through the pay line.

Amazon says the new location – the Factoria Market in Bellevue, Washington – is the first time to create a shopping experience using Just Walk Out technology and traditional payment methods in a complete grocery store. The company opened a new UK-based retailer with a return to March, however, which has become the first retailer outside the US. Amazon too license platform for other vendors, including airstrip where customers can purchase food and beverages without having to deal with cash. It is worth noting that the company opened another brand new store in California last year, but it uses Dash Cart technology in Amazon that helps customers jump the pay line if they are just buying about two bags for sale.

In Washington, consumers will be able to walk through the gates of Just Walk Out by scanning a QR code in their Amazon app, using Amazon One to scan their hand or insert a credit card or credit card associated with their Amazon account. Once inside, they can buy as usual: Everything they find from the shelves is added to their car, and whatever they return will be removed. They do not need to pass the kashier to get out, but they must also insert the QR code or their hand or insert their credit card at the checkout.

Whether other Amazon Fresh stores are making Just Walk Out in the future remains to be seen. Announcing this, the company says it is “delighted to see how customers like the purchase of Just Walk Out at the Amazon Fresh store in Bellevue” right now and that it will “leave there.”
