Ahmaud Arbery’s assassination: US lawyers provide final results | Crime Stories

In his last argument, Jason Sheffield, one of the McMichael’s lawyers, referred to the legal training McMichael received during his nine years at the US Coast Guard, where he worked as a mechanic.

Sheffield showed off some of Bryan’s most watched handcrafted video jurors – a neighbor – made with the shot, cold as Arbery ran to Travis McMichael, who had just fired a shot at Arbery.

“There is no doubt that Ahmaud’s hands are on this gun,” said Sheffield, who accused McMichael of fearing for his life at the time.

Sheffield said Arbery’s frequent inspections at the site made it suspicious that he had stolen items from a boat in which the owner was kept in a garage without a door for a while before installing the cameras.

Travis McMichael then had his “dangers”, Sheffield said, “when he met Arbery in the yard the night before 12 shots. He paused to tell the 911 dispatcher that Arbery had reached into his pocket if he had a gun when they met.

“The case has been settled, and he knows,” Sheffield said. “He saw everything except the hand on the stolen weapons.”

Dunikoski, a lawyer, said McMichaels was responsible for the initial violence.

He and Bryan chased Arbery for five minutes, using their cars to cut him off, chase him off the road and prevent him from escaping after seeing him in their area, he said.

He quoted Gregory McMichael as saying to local police after the shooting that Arbery was “locked up like a rat”.

Dunikoski said Arbery did not threaten McMichaels during the dismissal; he did not take up arms. “You can’t bring a gun to a fight. Isn’t that fair? ” said the prosecutor.

He said it was Travis McMichael who attacked Arbery – first with his car, then pointed a gun at him as Arbery ran towards him. “They can’t say they are defending themselves according to the law because they were the perpetrators for no reason,” Dunikoski said, “and he started this.”

The final argument in the case comes just days after the trial Kyle Rittenhouse Release in another well-supervised article.
