Saddam Hussein Bani Odeh was killed in the village of Tammoun after fighting against Israel.
Israeli forces have shot dead a 26-year-old man in Tubas, north of the West Bank, following an altercation on Tuesday, Palestinian physicians said.
The man was identified as Saddam Hussein Bani Odeh, from the village of Tammoun – about 5km (3 miles) south of Tubas. A bullet fired by Israeli soldiers entered the village and entered the left shoulder, heart, and lungs, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Odeh fainted from his injuries when he arrived at the nearest hospital.
The Palestinian Maan News Agency said this came in the wake of clashes in the region between Israeli troops and residents of Tubas shortly after Israeli forces attacked the city overnight as part of a crackdown on other areas in the West Bank.
At least two men were arrested in their homes during the terrorist attack, while eight others were arrested from other parts of the West Bank earlier Tuesday.
The Witnesses told reporters that the Israeli forces that attacked Tubas belonged to a “special group”. More and more campaigns were under way in the West Bank cities of Jenin and Nablus, a group of Palestinian prisoners said in a statement.
The arrests come just days after Israel announced plans to relocate more than 3,000 Jewish homes in the West Bank, despite opposition from some countries.
They are back in the midst of a sharp rise in violence perpetrated by illegal Jews in the West Bank against the Palestinian people, including farmers who harvest olives.
Hundreds of thousands of Israeli nationals have built settlements in the West Bank that are considered illegal by international law. Some foreign lands are prohibited under Israeli law. But the government is late or does not want to remove them.
Israeli forces often carry out massacres in the West Bank in an attempt to find Palestinian “suspects”.
According to Palestinian statistics, about 4,650 Palestinians continue to suffer in Israeli prisons, including many women and hundreds of children. At least 500 of them are being held as holding prisoners, a practice that Israel detains Palestinians without a six-month sentence.
