9 Best Chromebooks for the Total Budget (2021)

Chromebooks come in a variety of amazing styles. Sometimes even trying to choose one option over another can be difficult. As a commercial tester, I have to use a spreadsheet to make it look good. But you don’t have to do this, then there are some big things to keep in mind when choosing one.
Processor: Chromebooks use twelve different processors, many of which you may not have heard of before. There is a reason for this: these processors are slow, and do not appear on Windows laptops. After trying many Intel Celeron machines (often called N4000), my idea is to go with something as powerful as you can afford. The next component from Celeron is the Core m3, which is an excellent choice for most people. If you are looking for a powerful, future-proof machine, get the i3 or i5 chip.
We’ve seen a lot of ARM-produced Chromebooks, such as the Lenovo Duet above. I have never had any problems using the ARM Chromebook, but it is not as fast as the Intel Core chips. There are new Chromebooks that use AMD’s small Ryzen chips, and I’ve had some good experiences.
RAM: Get 8 gigabytes of memory if you can afford it, especially if you want to use Android apps. When I experience a significant reduction in glasses, it is usually on a Chromebook with only 4 gig of RAM.
Cover: Get the IPS LCD display. There are also a few low-end models out there that have crappier TN LCD displays, and you should avoid them. Your pixel density depends on the size of the window. I have used (and recommend) other 11-inch Chromebooks with 720p displays. Because these displays are compressed in a small format, I think they are very good looking, but in reality, 1080p screens will be very nice.
Ports: Most of the things you do on the Chromebook are cloud-based, so you don’t have to worry too much about ports. You may want a computer that runs on a USB-C port if you want to run your Chromebook on a battery / charger, but unfortunately, USB-C is only available in medium and expensive models. It also helps to have a MicroSD small partition saved if you want to download more files each day, but this option is not available.
