History of Boris Johnson political responsibility was unveiled on Monday when the UK prime minister struggled for two hours to reconcile with his prime minister on how to respond to a health crisis in Omicron.
He is caught up in a group of ministers rejecting new Covid-19 ban in England by another group – with the help of its scientific advisers – encourage immediate action.

One prominent Tory MP said: “If we break the NHS, we will not be forgiven and we will be powerless for any generation. Workers are always arguing we will violate the health profession. This could be proof that he was right.”
The hope at Whitehall is that Johnson will bring some sanctions after Christmas to be “disruptive” to the Omicron spread, but the prime minister is divided on the way forward.
Rishi Sunak, the chancellor, leads a group of cabinet ministers – mainly on the right side of the Conservative party, as well as foreign secretary Liz Truss – who wants to see more pressure before imposing new sanctions.

Sunak and Truss are both likely to challenge Tory’s leadership and are determined to show their opposition to Covid’s ban on the libertarian wing.
In another camp, encouraging urgent action, by Sajid Javid, secretary of health, and Michael Gove, elevating the secretary, who assists state scientific advisers with their proposals that the ban now avoids the NHS crisis in the future.
Javid, a former chancellor, is thought by some Tory MPs to “go home” to the health department. When he took over from Matt Hancock in June, Javid looked skeptical, but his attitude seemed to have changed.
