If your topic isn’t already circulating, there’s one very important note: Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite, formerly a business subscription) is now being expanded to anyone with a Google account, offering a better mix among the many Google applications is available online as well as on the phone.
What’s Happening Now
There are two major changes that Google is continuing throughout this year. First, Google Chat and Google Meet are updating Hangouts – in the Gmail corner of the Internet, on your phone, and elsewhere. Your previous Hangouts chat should continue, and in some cases may be restart: Start Google Chat in Gmail, install the app on your phone, and you can continue with Google Chat where you left off with Hangouts, until a private conversation.
As mentioned, there will be some extras, created during the time these programs have become commercially viable. You will have new tools, such as being able to connect with @mention on text or start conversations with a few strings, etc. – just use them with your family and friends instead of just working with them.
Second, and on the same topic, a light Workspace package will be accessible to anyone with a Google account in the coming months. Like Google Chat and Google Meet, this is Google providing consumers with more tools, but the idea is to get used to your PTA meeting, your book club every week, or your family.
These changes will not be significant, but they will be visible. You will still have Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and so on, just as you normally would, but they will be more closely connected, made into collaborations and sharing. For example, you will be able to make a to-do list and assign a task to connect with. Many new functions should be managed by Google Chat, which is a thread that runs in everything.
It is advisable, then, that you can start your Google Workspace account with turn on Google Chat in Gmail: From Chat and Meet Gmail web page, select Google Chat next to Play. Although it has taken us a long time to describe what is happening, based on what you will see as users there will be no major changes: The tools you have already used will improve a bit, look clean, and blend well with each other.
