The UK is determined to fight the war Omicron about coronavirus on the rapid growth of the immunization program for all adults and the median duration between the second and third doses up to three months.

As Omicron’s steady cases in the UK rose to 11, officials said ministers could launch alternative “in a few days” if the allegations highlight the need for a stronger response. Emergency repairs are also taking place at Whitehall, combining strict shell rules with a homework system.

Those between the ages of 12 and 15 in England have been given a second dose of Covid vaccine 12 weeks after their first jab. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are expected to follow.

Following a new guideline from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization, Sajid Javid, health secretary, said people with high immunity have been given an extra jab, indicating their fourth dose of Covid vaccine.

These new methods came amid great anxiety the global spread of the Omicron genus, was first identified in South Africa last week.

“The latest sign is [the new variant] it spreads very fast. . . there is a chance that our vaccine could be affected, “Javid told the MP.

“In the competition between vaccines and the virus, the new species may have given the virus extra legs. Our approach is to take the time and strengthen our immune system.”

Jonathan Van-Tam, England’s deputy chief medical officer, said the “numerous changes” already made “cause us to worry about the potential for vaccines.”

One official said the cabinet could not wait two or three weeks for the data if other indications were that Omicron’s diversity required a strong response.

“They may be willing to re-introduce alternatives as soon as they are needed,” he said. “We can look at other options in a few days if the data looks bad.”

One government official said emergency services were underway to do more. “A lot can be done with standard home masks, that would be the first step if needed. Then, if necessary, working from home at Christmas time would be the next as most people do in the past.”

The Ministry of Health declined to comment. A government official stated: “We do not accept any of these proposals that have not been submitted to the cabinet.”

One cabinet minister said his need was to do “everything necessary” to save Christmas.

Some Conservative MPs have expressed concern over the reversal of sanctions. Mark Harper, chairman of the Covid Recovery Group of Lockdown-sceptic Tories, asked how the Omicron species could be “identified and informed” by the people who tested them.

The UK is the first country to reduce the gap between the second level and the additional shooting up to three months. Israel, the first country to offer green light for a campaign, has a five-month wait, while US and EU citizens who have received BioNTech / Pfizer or Moderna shooting are advised to wait six months.

John Roberts, a member of the Covid-19 Actuaries Response Group, said the short-term change of three months meant that more than 15m people should receive another 1.5m by the end of the year.

Roberts warned that the expansion of the program was “educational only if we added power to the job development program”, which currently runs 2m a week.

Pfizer has a contract to provide 100m in the UK by the end of the year, sufficient to cover all incentives. According to FT estimates, the UK has at least 40m of the remaining shot, as well as more than 20m half the distance from Moderna.

The new coronavirus vaccine will be introduced in England from 4 p.m.

People traveling to the UK, regardless of whether they are vaccinated, should undergo a two-day PCR test and isolate themselves until they get adverse effects.
