UK PM Johnson admits attendance at closed meetings, apologizes | Coronavirus Plague News

THE ISSUE IS GROWING,

Boris Johnson told the MPs that he attended the May 2020 event in the Downing Street field held against the COVID-19 ban.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted he attended a garden party at his home in Downing Street during the closure of coronaviruses in May 2020, in violation of federal epidemics.

Speaking in the United Kingdom Parliament on Wednesday, Johnson said he wanted to “apologize” to the British people for his actions but denied allegations that he had resigned.

“I know the anger they feel for me because of the government I lead when they think that Downing Street is where the law is not properly enforced by lawmakers,” he told the House of Commons.

Johnson, who won the 2019 general election by promising to withdraw from the European Union, said he was sorry for what he had done and thought the May 20 conference was a work in progress.

He also said that he entered the Downing Street field to thank his staff before returning to his office 25 minutes later.

During the party, schools were closed for many students, pubs and restaurants were closed, and there were strict rules regarding cultural integration under UK closure laws.

Two people from different families were allowed to meet outside if they were more than two feet (6.5 feet) away.

Johnson ‘on ropes’

Al Jazeera’s Nadim Baba, speaking from outside London’s parliament, said Johnson was “on a downward spiral” after agreeing to violate the law.

“People are saying that the Prime Minister’s actions and actions in these cases have undermined public confidence in his ability to lead and eradicate the epidemic – to enforce the law and appear to be complying with it,” he said.

“Boris Johnson is aware that his suspension among the British people has dropped dramatically.”

Johnson, whose ministry has been marred by a number of controversies including a number of alleged incidents in government departments during the closure ban, has seen his popularity decline in recent months.

His ruling Conservative party has lost its lead in the votes of the main opposition Labor Party and in December lost a landslide election victory in a popular constituency.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the UK from the epidemic continues to rise as the epidemic rises, rising above 150,000 on Saturday to become the second largest in Europe, behind Russia alone.
