In May, Google announced the release of a new version of its operating system, which is used by bevy professionals and fashionistas, including Mobvoi and the’s the Old Group. It’s called Wear OS 3, and developed by Google, Samsung, and Fitbit (the latter is now Google’s). The new model is expected to offer better performance, longer battery life, and other third-party applications, and a stronger party.
The first Wear OS 3 smartwatch comes from Samsung, and will probably launch in August. Unfortunately, it means that Samsung’s current smartwatches, such as the Galaxy Watch3 above, will no get updates, because they run the other way. Google said so they too were divided that only a few smartwatches have the potential to upgrade to Wear OS 3: Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 3 (GPS and LTE) and TicWatch E3. This means that the new model needs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip, as these are the only smartwatches on the market that they use.
