TikTok Jump allows developers to customize their videos with the integration of a ‘mini-app’

TikTok manufacturers will no longer need to add a “multimedia link,” perhaps on other brands. Today, TikTok launched Jump, a new way for producers to increase their connection to their videos through the integration of others. For example, a cooking video can have a list of ingredients through Whisk, a software sharing program. You can also add questions via Quizlet, or system of breathing through Air. The company has tried beta this feature before, but now it offers it to all users.

Some of the platforms that have been approved to work with Jump are Whisk, Breathwrk and Quizlet mentioned earlier, as well as Wikipedia, StatMuse and Gome. Others like BuzzFeed, Jumprope, IRL and WATCHA will be established in the coming weeks. Examples of extras include video watching and visual aids.

The closest competition to the Jump could be Snapchat Ministry, which is a small app that allows you to purchase video tickets via Atom or play games from Headspace. WeChat, a popular Chinese messaging app, also has its own mini app line.
