The World Was Cool 2021 Over 2020. This Is Not Good News

Today NASA is NOAA left theirs annual analysis for global warming: Last year was built by 2018 as the sixth hottest, but cooler than 2020. A good sign, right? Yes, no. Not at all.
Bridget Seegers, a marine biologist at NASA, observes: “It is so easy to imagine the fluctuations from year to year. “But it’s important to look at what’s going on: The last eight years were very hot on the horizon.”
To calculate global temperatures, the two organizations draw data from various climate zones around the world, including measurements taken from ships and sea buoys. Other groups such as Berkeley Earth, a nonprofit research organization, do the same with their various methods. But the analysis is similar to their findings. As you can see in the picture below, which compares the results of Berkeley Earth, NOAA, NASA, and two other European bodies, global warming may be lower in 2021 than in 2020, but it is getting worse.
One cause of the cold snap in 2021 was probably La Niña, the Pacific Ocean ice rink. It is formed by strong commercial winds that blow into the sea, pushing the surface of the Asian waters, causing deep, cold water to rush to the surface to block the area. This also affects the atmosphere, e.g. changing jet flow on top of the United States and going to heavy storm in the Atlantic. Only the oceans are cooled by the heat of the atmosphere.
The Covid-19 epidemic may have the added power, but not as you might think. When the world closed in 2020, less air went into the sky, inclusive aerosols which often indicates the sun’s energy returning to the atmosphere. “When you remove them, you clean the air, then the weather is a little warmer,” said Gavin Schmidt, director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, at a press conference on Thursday announcing the findings. But as economic activity expanded in 2021, so did air pollution, which also contributed to the cold. The 2021 temperature drop “could be a reason to resume activities that generate aerosols in the atmosphere,” Schmidt said.
(Plague vessels lower carbon dioxide emissions production had no cooling. Human development produces global warming every year, and it continues to spread in the atmosphere, so that the epidemic is no longer registered as a blip.)
