Intel chips for the 12th-gen KS-series will reach 5.5GHz at a single peak

Intel is gearing up for upgrades with its 12-core KS-series CPUs. On stage at a CES press conference today, Intel’s Client Computing executive Gregory Bryant revealed that KS chips will reach 5.5GHz for a single item. Obviously, that’s when the chip is pressed to reach Max Turbo speed, so don’t expect it to last long.

Although positive, Bryant said KS chips can also exceed 5GHz through several cores by spring. This can be very helpful in providing and other challenging tasks, but these two major events should also provide a fun game.
