The Toyota 2021 Sienna hybrid proves that minibuses can be fun, not just practical

There will come a time in your life when minivans just sound. Often, that is when you first learn about the car, pedestrian, and other issues that children need. Then comes football matches with red carpools. I don’t waste time arguing about how minibus should be done, because no matter how you plan to do it, it’s always better for the average family than an SUV or crossover. They have the same height and the same load, and they are easier to find if you want to find a screaming baby.

No matter how well understood, minivans still suffer from the stereotypes of women and men who have just given up. That’s the idea Toyota is trying to tackle with its 2021 Sienna. Its in-game machine produces Toyota’s best SUVs, and it has all the latest infotainment features to delight parents and children. Most importantly, each Siena 2021 is a mix of at least 35 MPG of integrated mileage (entry point LE trim voted at 36 MPG). With a starting price of $ 34,460, it’s about $ 4,000 less than Toyota’s 2021 Hybrid Highlander, which offers the same mileage but limited accommodation.

Using state-of-the-art 2021 Sienna technology at an affordable price, Toyota is truly launching Honda’s most popular Odyssey, with Chrysler’s Pacifica plug-in hybrid. Pacifica offers a distance of only 32 miles, making it ideal for families who don’t need to travel very long distances. But it also requires more than a Sienna, starting at $ 40,620 per starting price. In addition, Toyota was able to integrate its AWD hybrid model into Sienna, while Pacifica and Odyssey only drive on the wheel. (Another great knock against Honda: there is no hybrid version of Odyssey!)

Based on its style alone, the 2021 Sienna is definitely more versatile than Pacifica. (That’s why Toyota called it “ribs.”) Sharp lines and a large grille in front of it give it a vicious vibe, as if it were more determined to hit the competition than putter to the football game. And that style extends to the sidewalks, making Sienna look like she’s speeding up the road even though she’s stopped. The rear is like a car, with low slopes that make it easy to carry passengers and pets.

The content is fantastic, probably on the lowest price (starting at $ 50,085) that I tested for a week. The 9-inch screen is the starting point for the infotainment system, and comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa support. The front, second and third seats have leather upholstery. The last seat can be fixed to the floor by pulling on the cord. And, well, there just is more room than my RAV4 Hybrid. I knew that entry was, of course, but it was one thing to experience the stark contrast between a minivan and a crossover SUV in the face.

Seating in my little car seat was easy with Sienna, thanks to her private doors. There’s a lot more space – worth it when you lift a 30-pound weapon – and I really appreciated sitting in the second seat to protect the seat belt. My daughter immediately went back to Sienna. As soon as I threw him in the car seat, he looked around and said “Wow, I love this car!” (And this happened after he tried to test the Tesla Model Y, which got people to respond.)

It may be that 2021 Sienna is on the list of parental wishes right now, but I wondered how many people came to ask me. Five minutes from my first car, our district supervisor Dunkin ‘Donuts immediately noticed and handed me the Indian Dad Seal of Approval Seal. Several parents in the local parks were amazed that it didn’t look like a minivan at all (if you murmur, it just looks like a tall cow).

As I waited for Sienna to sail like a boat, I was amazed to find that it was so beautiful and exciting. It’s not a sports car, but it drove Georgia’s winding roads better than my RAV4 (I pull it to the center of gravity). And even though it lost the V6 engine in the early stages, the Hybrid Sienna still has it. The 2.5-liter electric engine and dual-powered electric motor provide 245hp for a well-integrated mix, which is why it doesn’t sound too short when I pass cars racing on the road. We rode about 33MPG all week, more than I can see on our smallest RAV4. The hybrid driver also gives Sienna power by moving to a standstill, making it ideal for round-trip.

I didn’t have any trips ready to get tested for Sienna’s AWD, but I am also grateful for having a place to go while driving in the summer storm. This was especially helpful when hiking on the mountain highways during the rainy season. The front-wheel drive car would have been nice, but as a tough dad, I always just had peace of mind.
