In Steven Spielberg’s old film 1977 Close Third Party Meetings, the average person is fascinated by the big events of the visitors. TV writer Andrea Kail he says the film continues to amaze him.
“It looks better than most movies I’ve ever seen, with unique features,” says Kail in Section 498 Geek’s Guide to the Galaxy podcast. “It’s amazing that it happened so well. It doesn’t look romantic in any way. I think it’s an amazing movie.”
Science fiction writer Matthew Kressel says that the film should be a role model for filmmakers everywhere. “This is Spielberg’s best film,” he says. “I have learned. I do not write TV or movie — I just write fiction — but only loud music, timed. It’s so perfect. Everything is going well. ”
Geek’s Guide to the Galaxy recipient David Barr Kirtley he agrees Close Meetings they work well in the eyes and mind, but they find the actions of the visitors very strange. “If they’ve already robbed World War II, why do they need to communicate with music?” He says. “How can they not know that a mother will be terrified when she touches her young child?”
But a joke writer Tom Manager he loves the many secrets of the film, which have fascinated him for over 40 years. “I do not want anyone to say, ‘Here is the official explanation of what really happened.’ Because what I love most is what made me in my mind, this is the biggest secret I can fix. “

If a [movie scene] it seems too long, I will go back and set aside time, to benefit myself, as a writer. Any show that seems too long – every time – comes out in three minutes. Everything that looks too long is 3:30. That’s why I started watching the events that took place in the film the way I did. The longest is 3: 30 — airplanes and military events in the house at the very beginning, when children are screaming, and the woman is yelling at her, and she ignores it. It was really painful to watch. Both images are 3:30, which means they are very long. But I found both really, really stable. I thought he did very well.
Matthew Kressel pa Investigators:
I remember as a child hating it once we met strangers, because I thought they were stupid and stupid. But as an adult, I thought you really had a wise message in it. It was like anti-Close Meetings. We hope that these visitors will be spiritual, big, intelligent people who give all this wisdom, and they can be just as ugly as we are. It was a union between [John Carpenter] and Dan O’Bannon, when he was a film student at USC. At first it was a student 45-minute film, and then somehow it was shown to the principal, who was like, ‘Oh, we can make this a real movie.’ So they added a whole bunch of stuff, including the whole thing and a beach ball guest, to make it look like it had its height. … [O’Bannon] added in this thing where he hunted a stranger, and it should have been funny, but when he showed it to the public no one laughed. And he was like, ‘Hmm, maybe I should make this funny.’ So he wrote as A stranger, and that is where the movie came from A stranger he came out.
Tom Gerencer pa Tron:
“It’s one of the only movies I watch every year, and I love it. This is good news. It is not a science fiction — it is a fantasy and a science fiction. It incorporates many of the good things that a person my age grew up with in gladiatorial movies, movie culture, religion – and pulls it all together and makes it a new, well-thought-out world. … The video games it was great when it came out. This was my favorite video game. When I get my free tokens to get A school, I go to the stadium next to us, and I throw them there. Tron game. And now when I watch a movie, the video game just comes back to me. It was great fun. ”
