Amazon has entered into an agreement with the National Labor Relations Board that will open the way for its employees about 1m US to make a deal.

Connor Spence, an Amazon employee and one of the directors of Staten Island, said it was “amazing” to participate in one of the largest NLRB events in American history.

“It’s no secret that Amazon is an anti-union company,” he said. “They are never afraid of labor laws and have done a lot to disrupt our system.”

An Amazon spokesman was not immediately reached for comment.

Spence said he had filed a number of complaints against her Amazon rules that prohibit employees from sitting in the house 15 minutes before or after.

He further added that another law prohibited workers from talking to their colleagues in the parking lot. But the implementation of these principles was applied to employees who wanted to make a deal and at one point, Amazon security threatened to call the police for the preparation.

“This agreement gives a strong commitment from Amazon to millions of its employees in the United States that it will not infringe on their right to work together to improve their work environment through co-operation or action,” said Jennifer Abruzzo, NLRB. ordinary counselor.

Michael Duff, a former lawyer at NLRB, called the language “difficult”, but added that it was not a commitment to “Amazon to act in a certain way here and in the future”.

“This will make it easier for the district office to find criminals. . . but the NLRB does not have the power to enter into any kind of alliance with any employers who are liable, in the case of non-compliance. ”

Spence, too, also expressed concern that the settlement may be too small.

“Amazon should not retaliate, but what it can do is another matter,” he said. “So I don’t think it’s a silver bullet because labor laws in this country are still very weak. Knowledge will bring us much more. “

He added: “I wish there was a lot of financial punishment in the Amazon, but this is the best way in terms of our current employment laws. . . and it will seriously undermine Amazon’s anti-union policy by telling every employee that they have the right to be prepared.
