This is not new, this has been true for some time (e.g., better performance and battery life from Ryzen mobile CPU vs Intel).
Problem with Lenovo and others not offering any other changes on the AMD laptop, including Bingu and RAM and Display upgrades. You were able to forgive the absence of Thunder, but not here.
