Fear grows on the rise of Miami Miami after a house collapsed

President Joe Biden has declared a state of emergency in Florida after a dormitory collapsed slightly, killing one person and leaving 99 unidentified.

There are growing fears that dead people in the area, in northern Miami, may be on the rise as rescuers search and remove debris overnight. Many people have been pulled out of the garbage.

Biden ordered federal assistance to assist in responding to governments and territories. Emergency services provide an opportunity for the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate “all disaster relief efforts”, the White House said on Friday.

“Whatever you want the federal government to offer, we are waiting, just ask us, we will be there, we will be there,” Biden said.

Ron DeSantis, the Florida ambassador, late Thursday announced an emergency in Miami-Dade state, which allowed FEMA to come to the scene to provide assistance to rescue workers and families affected.

“We have at least 99 unidentified individuals,” said Daniella Levine Cava, mayor of Miami-Dade, at a press conference. He added that 102 people had been counted, who he said were “very encouraging”.

Rescue officials responded to the call Thursday morning and arrived in the northern town of Surfside to find that the northeastern part of the 12-storey Champlain Towers South had collapsed.

Officials say paramedics have evacuated 35 people from the house and two from the rubbish. Ray Jadallah, chief of rescue workers at the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, said that from 6 a.m., rescuers rescued their attention from the building to the rocks.

Jadallah described the attempts as minimal and dangerous and said sonar, cameras and rescue dogs were being used to search for anyone caught under the trash.

“We did receive word. Not really people talking, but sound; which sounds like people are fighting, “Jadallah told reporters.” Soon we did not hear a voice from the crowd. “

Officials said they would soon learn the cause of the collapse of the tower, which was built in the early 1980’s. search and rescue after completion.

“I was awakened by what sounded like thunder,” co-host Barry Cohen told the BBC. “It looked like a bomb had exploded: dirt and dust and smoke everywhere. The whole building shook with a huge explosion.”
