Earlier this week, the company Orbital Marine Power did well launched its most recent machine. When connected to the European Marine Energy Center on the Orkney Islands, the two megawatts will be able to generate enough power to connect 2,000 UK households each year, making it one of the most powerful in the world in use here.
Construction work on the project began in 2019. The O2 builds on the older Orbital SR2000. The program of the new type remains of a 239-foot high-speed interface connected by two turbines with 32 long rotors. The leaves on them can rotate around 360 degrees. This is a feature that allows O2 to generate electricity from static waves when they change direction. In the future, Orbital says it also has the option to select larger pages on O2.
The use of maritime power is something that the UK has been thinking about for some time. Back in 2015, one company wanted to make the world’s first from the coast of the world. While the project was rejected by the government, some have continued to make progress. Just a day before Orbital announced, a Scottish company called Mocean Energy unveiled it , 65 high-speed wind turbines.
