Instagram has started testing the time it promised last month. The company has begun experimenting with new foods, allowing users to switch between timely and algorithmically processed foods, says Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri.
Mosseri first shared a repatriation plan in December during the a on Instagram that affects the health of teens and children. The company later confirmed that it was working on two new types of food products, one called “favorites,” and the other called “results.”
Mu lcomment, Mosseri said Instagram will soon allow users to switch between three different foods: home, preferences and following. Home will be similar to the latest Instagram meal, which puts notes based on your preferences, while “favorites” will be a devoted meal for your favorite friends. “Follow-up” will be the next meal for the accounts you follow, as they do for Instagram before 2016.

“We think it’s important that you can get to the next meal, if you want to get active and see what’s new with the accounts you follow,” Mosseri said in a video.
Most importantly, the “home” diet will also see significant changes. Mosseri said the main meal “will have more ideas over time.” The company has already been trying to add ideas from with Reels in its main feed, so it looks like Instagram is planning to double that. Last week, Moseri said the company “Think again about what Instagram is” in 2022, and it focuses on Reels and making more creative tools.
At the moment, these new changes are not very widespread. Mosseri said the new tests will “come out or come out in the next few weeks,” with “all the information” expected to be set up for everyone in the “first half of this year.”
