Spotify downloaded at least 70 shares a The experience of Joe Rogan from his barns Friday. However, the missing sections have nothing to do with the ongoing controversy on the platform over the covid-19 scandals.
One of the first to see the removal of the section was one of Rogan’s former guests, Ukrainian-American writer and artist Michael Malice, who wrote on Friday that his two poses had been removed.
In particular, the recently released section, # 1218, is coming out in December 2018.
Upon hearing of the dismissal, Gizmodo looked at a website which regularly monitors Rogan’s appearance on Spotify and found that 70 of them were removed. Afterwards we looked manually and confirmed the page review. Videos of some of the removed sections seem to still be available on YouTube, though not all of them are available.
If you haven’t heard, Rogan and Spotify have been in the midst of a growing number of controversies over allegations that the singer promoted the covid-19 lies on his show. Rogan says he is just trying to socialize with interesting people, but critics have been arguing that the podcaster is helping to spread lies that could lead to real problems.
The platform’s refusal to take action against Rogan has left the internet fueling a heated debate and urging several older adults – including Neil Young and Joni Mitchell – to stop their music across the platform.
Rogan has recently published video at Spotify where they defended their decision and promised to get a counter-argument, although opponents did not appear to be satisfied with that response.
The published articles do not seem to fit the ongoing debate. One of the things that has made it very interesting – is the highly criticized vaccine scientist. Dr. Robert Malone– stays on Spotify. Malone was banned on Twitter platform after confirming that it has violated covid-19 false data. YouTube removed its feature from the Rogan podcast for similar reasons.
This was not the first time Spotify had removed Rogan. Last year it was reported that Spotify was silent has been removed it’s over 40 episodes of Rogan’s show.
We reached out to Spotify to respond and will update the matter if they respond or more information becomes available.
