‘Sorry or Welcome’ You must be a Twitter Motto

Has there been an additional way to calculate how updates across all platforms are delivered and received by users? I say no.

Mu blog post Announcing Fleets’ impending demise, Ilya Brown, vice president of marketing for Twitter, admitted that what she did was a test, which did not happen. “If we don’t change our ways and ruin things from time to time – we don’t improve,” Brown wrote. It was a collaborative blog group of shrug emoji, and to be honest it’s fine, but it’s hard not to think that the whole message is “sorry or welcome.” Twitter is unfortunate that it removes this that you did not ask for; you don’t have to look any further, you’re welcome. This is not digging on Twitter or celebrating his work. It’s just. The social media business becomes and dies as it can change new things. Sometimes these things look like things that were popular on other platforms (Fleets look like Instagram Stories, which look like Images…), but Twitter has been very successful based on what users were already pulling: retweeting jobs to allow what people were already doing with “RT,” allows people to put characters in other @ users’ tags. Maybe the Fleets failed because that’s not what people used to do – unless you read it spread of tweet removal.

This is where the apologetic language of Twitter seems to be most appropriate. In the end, the Fleets were as small as the manufacturers demanded. Nothing. The few things in the world of technology are the ones that are the least important. (Remember Twitter’s egg?) Maybe it’s better for everyone to agree with this – especially Twitter. Sorry and you’re welcome.
