Senate confirms Jessica Rosenworcel as FCC first female chair

The Federal Communications Commission now has its first permanent chair. The Senate voted 68 to 31 confirm President Biden appointment of Jessica Rosenworcel, to change his or her position of office to be valid (and other) for five years. Her pregnancy should end within a few weeks.

Not surprisingly, Rosenworcel demonstrated precautionary measures in order to communicate with “everyone, anywhere.” The chairman has been promoting political neutrality and other laws that require the supervision of major professional companies, in stark contrast to what the former chairman was against the law. Ajit Pa.

This move gives the FCC some stability. However, it may not be the most important choice. The White House is still awaiting the confirmation of Gigi Sohn to fill the vacant position of Commissioner. If approved, the FCC will have a majority of 3-2 Democrats who can support Biden’s needs on telecom. Rosenworcel should be outraged at his prospects if the Commission remains in its infancy.
