Roku is performing Weird Al mockumentary by Daniel Radcliffe

It took more than a decade, but Weird Al is finally about to get the writing he needs all the time. You may remember in 2010 Funny Or Die released his trailer Surprising: The Story of Al Yankovic. The film promised a relentless look at Yankovic’s life with actors from actors like Aaron Paul, Olvia Wilde and Gary Cole. We don’t want to take this movie (sadly), but Roku can just give us the next thing.
The company announced today that it is supporting production READ MORE: Al Jankovic’s Amazing Story. In place of Aaron Paul as Yankovic, we find Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. Eric Appel, best known for his work Silicon Valley and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, co-authored the film with Yankovic and is leading the project. If Appel’s name sounds good, that’s why he redesigned the 2010 trailer Surprising: The Story of Al Yankovic.
“I’m happy to have Daniel Radcliffe show me the film,” Yankovic said in a statement. “I have no doubt that this is a role that future generations will remember.” READ MORE: Al Yankovic’s Amazing Story does not have a release date, but production of the film is expected to begin next month. When it is ready, it will be available for you to watch for free Roku Channel.
