‘Reading Rainbow’ will return in 2022 with the support section

After more than 15 years of invisibility, Reading Rainbow will return to TV in early 2022. Per , the latest version of the old children’s show will be known as Reading Rainbow Live. It will have a connecting section that children can connect to . The platform allows viewers to ask player questions, and participate in games. Naturally, Reading Rainbow Live will also be available for display online.

The first one started in 1983 and was performed by LeVar Burton. The Star Trek: The Next Generation actors do not participate in the new project, not as a host. Instead, the “Rainbow” team will share the work. What will not change is the form of the show. As before, each session will be about 25 minutes long and will try to educate the audience through music, field trips, cultural events and the book of the day.

Creative director Amy Guglielmo said CBS News the new demonstration is part of the response to the epidemic. “We know it was a difficult epidemic for parents, caregivers, teachers,” he said. “We wanted to make sure we had children who read books and to use the movement and the music to teach the children.”
