Netflix will be required to broadcast 20 state-owned TV stations in Russia

Since March, Netflix is required to broadcast 20 state radio broadcasts Russia. Roskomnadzor, the country’s media director, registered the platform as “audiovisual service” this week. Among the channels that Netflix will have to carry are Channel One, an exciting NTV movie and a channel of the Russian Orthodox Church called Spas (meaning “Saved”).

Advertising activities with more than 100,000 people daily in Russia are included in the register, which was established late last year. Not only subscribers to the platform to provide official TV channels, they need to establish a Russian company, according to The Moscow Times.
