NASA worked that of James Webb Space Telescope, but should delay the space exploration of space science. Fortunately, the adoption could take place a few weeks later, in November or early December. The renewal date may not be determined until the summer or fall.
There are a number of factors that are important in announcing a new opening date, depending on . Telescope astronomer Beatriz Romero told reporters that sending Webb and rocket and spaceport preparations were all necessary.
Follow-up , NASA and the project’s main contractor, Northrop Grumman, are moving closer to carrying the telescope into the shipping container, according to chief scientist Thomas Zurbuchen. This is due to take place in late August. When Webb arrives at spaceport in French Guyana, it will take 55 days to prepare. This means that the window opening will be in the middle of early November.
There is also the problem of the Ariane 5 rocket that has to carry Webb away from terra firma. It has been in place since last August due to a crisis over payment. Launch founder Arianespace says the problem has been solved and redesigned. Tests are scheduled in July and August to ensure that the problem is resolved before Webb’s launch, but there is always the possibility of a delay too.
In the meantime, the problems of has affected operations at spaceport. The vaccine is not yet available in French Guyana, e.g. Ars Technica notes. The function can also be disrupted by the widespread spread of coronavirus.
The delay of a few weeks is not significant, considering the first start time was about 2007. However, there are reasons to be optimistic. The reversal of the setting of weeks rather than months or years is a sign that the light at the end of the tunnel is shining brightly .
