Microsoft will completely eliminate Internet Explorer in June 2022

Also, retirement will not affect desktop Internet Explorer 11 or MSHTML (Trident) engine. In most cases, Internet Explorer will be provided with grass for at least 13 months.

Internet Explorer has been a part of Windows for the past quarter. But since the establishment of The edge in 2015, Microsoft has been slowly shutting down its old browser. They are gone in 2016. Microsoft 365 and other applications will cease to support IE 11 on August 17.

Microsoft has urged users who insist on IE 11 to move to Edge (or another browser, if you prefer) before expiring next June. The edge is for pages that still need IE. Many organizations still use older programs and websites that do not work with modern browsers, to make the systems more efficient. Microsoft says it will support the IE version of the Edge until the end of 2029, giving orgs and IT departments several years to switch from older apps.
