Microsoft is experimenting with several ways to update Windows 11’s Start menu

Microsoft is not ready to go back Windows 11 major design updates however, but at least I am trying a few new ways to update the OS. With the latest Windows 11 Insider build (22509), you can have a customized Start menu to display printed programs, or programs and files that are recommended, in addition to the standard versions that control both. That doesn’t go back to Windows 10 Start menu that some hard-working users have been screaming, and in fact, it is highly unlikely that Microsoft will change. Windows 11 prioritizes minimalism, and a busy Start menu loaded with all your apps is not enough for that mold.

Among other features, Insider Build will also bring the date and clock back to the taskbar for monitoring features, something that was unknowingly removed from Windows 11. Microsoft says the tweak will not be visible to any Insider user, surprisingly. It’s a shame that Microsoft isn’t looking for a lot of customization options – losing Windows scripts has made my computer cleaner, but harder to navigate compared to Windows 10.

Update Windows 11 Insider Build will also make it easier to use the Edge browser when using Narrator, a Microsoft browser viewer. You can also expect to see a lot of options running from the senior management team, and into the cleaning program. These include Advanced Sharing preferences, such as Network Discovery and File / Printer Sharing. You will also find more information about your printers and scanners in the Tuning app.
