“Common sense kills you in the search for work,” says Siegel. “You want the simplest, most sophisticated template you can find. You want to write as a cave maker in as short, clear words as you can. “

In most cases, applicants for their CVs will be consulted first and those who want to follow their own (ATS) method, says Siegel. To increase your chances of being interviewed, you need to submit a CV that the AI ​​will interpret correctly.

Use short, descriptive sentences to help AI evaluate your CV, Siegel says. Write down your skills well. If possible, review where you learned and how much time you spent using them, including any permits or security numbers that verify your expertise. “You want to be more assertive and sophisticated, because the programmers are trying to figure out who you are and decide if you will be put in front of someone,” he says.

And do not despair of using tasks that require more knowledge than you do, as long as you meet certain requirements in describing the job.

“If you have the skills mentioned, I want you to use them,” says Siegel. “Let the algorithms choose whether you match or not, and they select you up or down.”

Create your own CVs. If you change your AI CV, you may worry that you have ruined his or her performance and readability. So get ready for some kind of illumination, he says Gracy Sarkissian, executive director of Work of the University of New York.
