Like Google Chrome, Chrome OS will undergo a four-week release release

Google is speeding up the release of Chrome OS to four weeks in the third quarter of this year, the company announced Friday.

“Quickly delivering new tools to consumers and continuing to install the main pillars of Chrome OS – security, stability, speed and simplicity – Chrome OS will move to a 4-week stable start with the M96 in Q4,” Chrome OS release TPM CEO Marina Kazatcker said blog post.

This will place the Chrome OS release program in line with its Chrome browser, which Google has announced in March they can also change the four-week release by the end of this year. In an effort to change the two-pronged approach, Google said Friday skipping the release of the M95 for Chrome OS.

For users and students who may not like or cannot follow the changes quickly, Google is planning to launch a new six-month management system while M96 is preparing, according to a blog post. The company said it had announced more details in the near future.

“As we move into the next decade, these changes allow us to transform Chrome OS to enable people to do things and provide useful and secure experiences,” Kazatcker wrote.

The move reflects Google’s transformation in recent years from the introduction of more money to smaller releases, more frequent sales changes, changes that it says are making faster and more innovative online opportunities.

Shortly after Google announced in March, Microsoft followed suit by expanding its Edge browser updates, which were recently rebuilt in Google’s Chromium launch project. Starting in the third quarter of this year, Microsoft said it will begin offering updates every four weeks instead of six weeks.
