LG has revealed its most recent brand UltraFine OLED 4K monitor focused on the good and this time it has a lesser type that should be cheaper. On top of that, the new models come with additional accessories to make it work and work in bright rooms with ease.
The 32-inch color looks very similar to the old one, with about 1,000,000: 1 aspect ratio, real 10-bit color, 60Hz cooling and covering 99 percent of DCI-P3 color space. As before, it also complies with the standard VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black on OLED displays.
The slower visibility and greater contrast reflect the distortion and advantages of OLED display for manufacturers, in a nutshell. On the one hand, with 400 nits of UltraFine OLED light is not enough to produce HDR color compared to the brightest (1,000 nit +) mini-LED displays like Apple’s $ 5,000. The new 27-inch model will attract people looking for the benefits of OLED and other displays (10-bit color, 99 percent DCI-P3 and 1,000,0000: 1 ratio) at a lower price. Both displays also offer features such as a clean design, a USB-C with 90W power and four USB ports. It also comes with DisplayPort inputs and a single HDMI port. The LGs don’t say what kind of device it is, so it probably isn’t HDMI 2.1 – though it doesn’t necessarily mean good performance.
The biggest improvement over last year is that all of these monitors are integrating a digital camera (LG did not say which one), along with its LG Calibration Studio app. It also comes with a lighting hood so you can adjust the image according to the lighting of the room. LG has not released the price, but its 32-inch UltraFine Display OLED Pro Monitor for its modern device costs $ 4,000, so expect to see the same price on the new model. The 27-inch model, meanwhile, will be north of $ 2K.
