President Joe Biden and President Xi Jinping held a meeting on Monday, seeking to strengthen ties between China’s military tensions near Taiwan and its countries. the development of nuclear weapons.

The summit comes at a time when US-China relations are still in jeopardy since the two countries formed their ties in 1979. Biden has implicated China in everything from aggressive acts around Taiwan to the persecution of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang. Meanwhile, China has criticized the US for interfering with the country’s interests.
The summit comes after the Pentagon’s warning that China is rapidly expanding its nuclear power base and plans to increase its nuclear arsenals to more than 1,000 nuclear weapons this decade.
In the summer, China tried again two hypersonic weapons, including the one that flew over the earth. The latter disrupted the Pentagon because it showed that China had won another direct route to the US with its nuclear power.
A US official said Biden had made it clear that although he was receiving “strong competition” with China, he did not want any conflicts. “The meeting is a way to ensure that there is no disagreement on this issue,” the official said.
“This is not about finding offers or results. This is about creating effective competition when we are in a position to protect what we want and what we love and that of our friends and colleagues,” he said. “Once such terms – or security – are established, we can have a strong competition.”
Speaking to Asian-Pacific leaders this week, Xi warned other countries not to join the US trying to deal with China, noting that the region “cannot and should not relapse in the struggle against the division of the Cold War”.
