Recent changes: Fed officials are pushing for change as the bond-buying process ends

Orange executives Stéphane Richard left the telecoms team in France at the end of January recently, after being given a one-year suspended sentence on fraudulent charges not related to the company.

The long-running legal case, which involved business business Bernard Tapie and Richard who worked for the government, lasted a long time in the Orange County administration, although he was acquitted of any wrongdoing in the original decision.

But Richard, who is also the chairman, presented his findings at a board meeting Wednesday, the company said. It will take effect when “a new leadership system is elected and will soon be January 31 2022”, Orange added.

After ten years in office, Richard was one of the longest-serving leaders in Europe and left in a time of turmoil and fierce competition. His work was due to end in May 2022.

Richard was determined to stay in office even though he had said that by then he would be ready to resign.

The French Court of Appeals allowed Richard to support the fraud but found him guilty of misappropriation of public funds, linked to a previous position as chief of staff of Christine Lagarde when he was finance minister. He was also fined € 50,000.

Richard appealed the decision and said that he would appeal to the highest court in France. “At this point, the case changed. . . this is absurd and very unfair, ”he said in a statement.
