Like many Apple items, it is Apple Watch it can be very easy to get started with – but its simplicity hides an incredible level of depth and customization. If you have just received an Apple Watch, there is a lot you can do to make sure you get the most out of your new outfit. Let us guide you through this process, from initial implementation to optimization of all that is possible.

Install

Obviously, the first thing you want to do is pair your Apple Watch with your iPhone. Even if you have a Apple Watch with cells, with the iPhone required to install and maintain the device. Fortunately, this method is very straightforward – after you turn on the Apple Watch, just place it next to the unlocked iPhone and you will quickly find to install the device. In the meantime, your iPhone will prompt you to start and log in with your Apple ID, set a passcode on your Watch, install things like Siri and Apple Pay, and choose if you want to transfer compatible apps. The guard. I recommend transferring all your apps for the first time, because the Watch is very useful when you update it with content missing.

A few things you need to set up and detect in the event of an emergency SOS. The latter gives you the opportunity to call local emergency services by pressing and holding a side button, while fall detection uses Watch and accelerometers and other sensors, to see if you have lost the wrong. It will trigger an SOS call only when it detects a fall and does not detect a movement. Prior to making a phone call, Watch will endeavor to capture your attention through notifications, vibrations and alarm sounds.

Fun part: software development and notifications

Once you’ve set up the startup, it’s time to make the Apple Watch your own. By default, Apple Watch displays all the information that goes to your phone. But I have found that the Watch Tower is a very useful tool with a little modification. In the iPhone Watch app, you can change notifications for all Apple apps, or turn it off completely. For example, the Activity information notification panel gives you the option to choose whether you want the reminders to stand for hours, or notifications when your peers share with you major events and more.

Third-party applications do not have the same granularity, but you can turn them off so they do not stop your Watch. For items that are less sensitive to time (e.g., changes from Google Photos, or if you do not want the Apple News app to extend your hand), feel free to turn it off. They will still hit your iPhone, and you can help them back later.

The iPhone Watch app also gives you the option to select specific apps for your iPhone that will be installed on the Apple Watch. I think this is more useful than just letting Watch Watch install any affiliate program, as it could mean you have 12 apps to check on your watch to see if they are useful or not. Instead, I like to go through the list and decide if there are any benefits to having these programs in my hands. When it comes to software like Google Maps or Ecobee for adjusting my thermostats, it’s a definite yes. But things like Etsy or Bank of America are not clear on the watch. And if you change your mind, you can either uninstall the app from the Watch app or long-press the mirror and uninstall it – just remember that this will uninstall the app on your Watch but not on your iPhone.

That said, I was surprised by what some manufacturers think of the Apple Watch. Take the Bear app notes, for example. I usually use it to create menus, and the menus are clearly visible on the Apple Watch. So if there is an app on your phone that you think is important, show it on Watch.

Look at the face

Another area that is sometimes overlooked is the Apple Watch and watch faces. Since this is what you will see every time you raise your hand, I think it is important to find something that fits your shape. While there are no third party faces, the Apple Watch has over 30 options that can be updated continuously. We are talking about a wide range of colors, a wide variety of colors and visual styles, complex (sub-components of information such as weather, date, or directing music) and much more. You can have a simple digital real-time display without anything else, or a face-to-face with eight problems or anything in between.

You can put new faces on the Watch directly – but as deep as it is, it is easy to do this on the iPhone. Face Gallery shows every available face, along with a few examples of how to customize. You can use this as a jump to create your own creations. Once you have customized it, you can simply move the clock as you want to mix things up. If you press long on the face, you can adjust it to your watch, which is useful if you want to quickly change the color to match your outfit.

Apple Watch features

If you are using the Apple Watch Series 5, 6 or 7, you can also choose whether you want to launch a regular display. You can find this in the app settings, under “Display & Brightness.” If you have excessive battery life, turn this off, but most people would like to turn it on. New watches can still be used all day if you use them regularly, but if your watch is slightly older and the battery is running smoothly, you may want to learn to live without it.

Adherence to exercise

One of the great selling points of the Apple Watch is the fitness tracker. Whether you exercise regularly or not, Watch Watch will follow your steps and the amount of your activities, and use the notes to monitor your daily movements through the three rings you are encouraged to close. The “moving” ring refers to the amount of calories you burn per day, the “exercise” ring monitors the activity of speed or height, and the “stand” ring monitors whether you are up or not and walking for a minute or two. every hour of the day.

When you set up your Apple Watch, it shows you the daily goals for each of these, and the Activity app (or Fitness app on your iPhone) shows you how close you are to hitting them. If you have never used the Apple Watch in the past, it is best to just go with the mistakes – each week, you will find out how you did and it may result in you increasing your Move number if you continue. it. Exercise and standing exercises last 30 minutes a day and 12 hours a day, but they can also be flexible.

Apple Watch solid

For more information, the Fitness app gives you the opportunity to connect with your friends who use the Apple Watch and see how they progress against their three rings. Naturally, you can use this knowledge to ridicule them for their actions on the potato, and you can also challenge them to regular competition. You get points based on the amount of time you close all your rings each day, and the person who has the most points in a week wins. It looks great, but it’s a fun way to encourage.

If you want to follow a physical activity, such as running, walking, or exercise you do this in the “exercise” program. There you will find many types of exercise that Watch can follow. If you have a favorite way to watch sports on your phone, chances are you can find it on the Apple Watch as well. Nike Run Club, MapMyRun, Peloton and all others have Watch apps that allow you to track your fitness using wearable sensors. Also, many apps are now able to connect to the Health app on your iPhone. It is a storehouse of all your activities and fitness based on your Clock, so you can easily synchronize fitness from there with the activity you want. As with most Apple Watch items, it only takes a bit to play to see what works best for you.

Songs

One of my favorite things about the Apple Watch is that it can move music and podcasts – not just from Apple stuff but also from others like Spotify and Pandora. You need Mobile Phones to play music without your phone, but the good news is that Apple Music, Spotify and Pandora all give you the ability to store music directly on the Watch. Whether you prefer the type of phone or not, there is a way to listen to music and leave your phone behind.

If you are an Apple Music user, you can monitor downloaded music through the Watch app on your iPhone. Open it and go to the “Music” section and you will see a big button to add music to your watch. There are also tunes that just download albums and playlists that you have recently heard – open and you will always have music in your hands.

Apple Watch songs

It’s easy to choose the exact albums or playlists you want to save, too. Just tap the main add-on button and you will see your Apple Music library. From there, just navigate to what you want, click another button and it will be downloaded to your watch. Note that music only moves when your Clock is charging, so you have to remove it by hand to sync.

If you are using Spotify, just watch the music, playlist or podcast on your phone and click on the three-button icon – you will see the “Download on Apple Watch” option there. Then, on your watch, there is a well-marked “download” section where you can play without a connection.

Try, try, try!

Like most Apple products, the Apple Watch has a lot of functionality and complexity hidden under its easy-to-use location. But I have found that the Watch hides a lot of things, so I have to look at the built-in Tips program to get ideas on what to do. Without such a link, you will probably not realize that pressing the side button twice calls for Apple Pay, or that you can display the gallery in the list if you wish. Chances are good that you won’t mess with anything, so click and move and wipe and dig settings.
