Hong Konger is rushing for the final purchase of the Apple Daily newspaper

Hundreds of Hong Kongers stood for hours to buy the last Apple Thursday morning, the day after the closure of an anti-democratic newspaper following the arrest of senior journalists and the government to cool its wealth.

Records created by media mogul Jimmy Lai has angered Hong Kong and Beijing officials over publicity and criticism of China’s communist party.
