Ford’s e-scooter Spin company is leaving markets and firing workers

[ad_1]

Spin, the first Ford to share e-scooters he found Back in 2018, it is changing its interest in profitability and emerging in almost all open markets around the world. Mu a post and CEO Ben Bear, said Spin has started slope down its operations in small markets in the US, as well as in Germany and Portugal as a whole. The company will also suspend operations in Spain, which could take place on February 22nd.

Licensing markets are places where most scooter companies can run businesses, without hats on ship standards. Bear said it “creates an uncertain working environment” and “runs at low prices.” It does not matter if Spin has performed well in those markets – Bear wrote that Spin was unable to provide “the highest quality reliable service. [it] pride [itself] to its riders and allies cities “in those places – so it has chosen an alternative instead.

Spin enlargement after its operations were acquired by Ford in several cities in the US and around the world. In 2021, that shipped a new type of scooter that is more stable than the previous one as well agreed and Google to show users the nearest e-bike or e-scooter on Maps. Unfortunately, this was not enough to stop this reform.

Going forward, Spin will focus on smaller markets in the US, Canada and the UK. In particular, in places where cities and schools “choose friends through competitive competition.” It seems that Spin earns twice as much money in this type of site compared to the ones that have a free market for all. Moving their focus to that location is understandable, but the unfortunate closure also means that the company allows employees to leave: Its move will affect one-third of its employees, who will receive separation papers and cash.
