Beating Books: How memes spread throughout the world as a ‘viral mind’

The struggle to survive is not limited to living things. Ideas can be defined as congenital genes, competing for a set of genes, recurring in conversation, and registered in written form. Mu Awareness Rise, winning prizes New York Times author Caleb Scharf explores how people can become more resilient outside of us and what we can do soon if we want to keep up with the 20 quintillion data we generate each day. In the comments below, Scharf explores the amazing ways in which life-altering ideas change, compete and spread.

To give another example of the wonders of selfishness, Ma Dawkins gave the name to a concept well known today, which I mentioned briefly at the beginning of this book. These “mental viruses” – using Dawkins’ experimental concepts – are ideas that not only spread easily but can also create new patterns for those who carry them. Indeed, the spread of a meme it is the only thing that does, whether through social media or a television show.

Dawkins’ words encouraged ideas that had attracted people’s attention for a long time. Back in 1880 Thomas Huxley (known as the “Bulldog of Darwin” for his support of the theory of evolution) wrote: “The struggle for existence remains as technologically advanced as the world. the end of his enemies. ”

Memes can also be as selfish, as they sometimes ruin those who carry them. People are prone to emotional outbursts that can lead to problems or even death. Starving artists, aspiring actors, religious activists, hobbies, and politicians may seem suicidal because of ideas that suck and spread around the world.

In describing this seemingly absurd, we can say that memes, or ideas, are simply using their carriers in the same way that viruses infect them, or that genes use organic vehicles. Human ideas are places where ideas can spread and compete with each other, following rules that are very similar to those chosen by nature. What happens to people, good or bad, is very important in the development of knowledge, and in making other things.

The vision is intriguing, confusing, and controversial. To date, limitations are not allowed in most scientific disciplines to determine whether anything deserves scientific analysis beyond their actual similarity to what happens in biology (and, of course, Dawkins did not specify otherwise). This is especially true when it comes to combining memes with genes – assuming genetic firmness can be affected by memes, and vice versa. This has not stopped the large amount of ink that is poured into memes (filling in the dataome corner, etc.), by other experts who make up ideas for so-called memetics, as well as an important role for them in social change.

I won’t jump really far into the rabbit hole here. The main reason why scientists believe memes are so complex is that it is so difficult to distinguish between triggers and complexities in complex, complex, confusing processes such as life and mind. Finding a surprise at the root of things, a key player, is very difficult. This is not to say that a simple solution, or a universal law, is not the answer. But proving this to be true is why so many scientists still have work to do: it is a long way off.

With this warning in mind, there is a similarity between repetitive thoughts, altering the information contained in genes; the presence of memes; and the dataome form, which we should see.

In the past I have said that I do not think the data is just a collection or a result of memes; Instead, memes represent a single set of factors that operate within the boundaries of the dataome and the human mind. Well-known familiar words come back between thought and knowledge. In contrast, a Belgian bus ticket or cloud depot, which is part of the information system, probably does not spend as much time, if any, in people’s minds.

Dataome also promotes memes and aids for their survival. In human culture, beliefs or customs are easily shared and established because they are available as accessible information – in physical manifestations (such as the Koran, the Bible, the Vedas, the Tripitaka, the writings of Karl Marx, or the Hobbes). Leviathan). Memes has a lot of potential for attracting visitors and engaging journalists in a more informed manner. Therefore, it is best for the dataome to be easy to access, run smoothly, large in size – it is best for those memes to be good. There is an intriguing parallel between the design and the genetic engineering of living things. As we will see later, the gene could not travel alone on earth. It all depends on and benefits the whole body, whether it is skin or color. The more efficient these systems work, in terms of reproduction, reproduction, and diversity, in order to cope with environmental changes, the better things are genetic.

Nowadays, in ways that have never been done before, genetic information is also found to be represented. For example, the more stable genes in earth’s biology are those that regulate some of the components of ribosomes in a single cell. Ribosomes are large molecules that are essential for the production of proteins. As a result, these genes and their genetic makeup have not changed much at all, even billions. The well-studied groups are called 16S rRNAs, and as a result of laboratory analysis we have developed six different 16S rRNA variants. Most of these data are now available in the dataome.

In other words, the information represented by the 16S rRNA genes has found a new way of storing and modifying – for books, electronics, and many computers and servers around the world. You could argue that this doesn’t make sense – most of the 16S rRNA does nothing, it doesn’t start a new ribosomal machine that releases proteins around the world. It does not perform its original function. But the fact is that, in the case of greed, the result was no anything more than a means to an end. If the only reason to have genes is because of them he can continue to exist on earth, then the information they represent resides in the body or on your hard drive does not matter.

Obviously, the dataome can struggle to survive without its preconceived notions … In this way, the original 16S rRNA function in the world is very important. But now it also has a role to play in the development of the human mind, scientific research, and perhaps its future design. All of the options for storage are repeated within the dataome.

There is an argument that none of this would be surprising because the methods of reproducing genes in biology, as well as the ways in which genes change, are simple.
